Established in 1885, the Fournier house manufactures notebooks and alphabetical indexes in its workshop locatedin the Paris' Marais district. At the end of the 1930s, Adolphe Fournier, bookbinder and gilder' adds calendars and diaries tothe collection which takes the name of Mignon. Since 1950, the diaries have been benefiting of the brand new system of sliding rings importated from the United States and which patent has been bought for Belgium by Marcel, Adolphe Fournier'son. It is a real commercial success that reaches its highest level between 1950 and 1960' with more than 150 000 copies of certain models being sold.
In 1993, Mignon joins the EXACOMPTA-CLAIREFONTAINE group. It is the beginning of a new commercial development, realized in compliance with the philosophy and know-how of a company. It has succeeded in safeguarding the tradition of the best leather craftsmen in the last parisian workshop. In 2006 the "Croco Savannah" collection is created and achieved a real success and maintained its popularity. In 2014 the "Diana" collection is launched. Mignon innovates thanks to a range of bicolor goatskin products and using bright colors. In 2015 a collection of chic pens in timeless colors is launched.
