The company J. Herbin, sealing wax manufacturer, has been founded in 1670-Louis XIV was 32 years old-. It is during one of his trips to India that the founder imported its formula of gum lacquer which allowed him to improve the quality of his wax seals, more adherent and refine, and gained a renown in the kingdom.
